About NoUploadPDF

Everyday PDF tools that keep your documents private by design, not by promise.

Why this exists

Search for a way to merge, split or protect a PDF and most results ask you to upload the document first, often a document private enough that you would rather nobody else saw it. That trade is unnecessary. A modern browser can open, change and save a PDF entirely on your own device.

NoUploadPDF is built on that idea. There is no upload step anywhere on the site: not a policy that promises to delete your files after an hour, but no upload at all.

Check it rather than trust it

Switch off your internet connection and use any tool: it still works. Or open your browser's developer tools, watch the network activity, and use a tool: you will see the page load and nothing leave while your document is processed. How it works explains both.

Who makes it

NoUploadPDF is an independent project: a focused set of tools rather than a company with a sales team. There are no accounts and no newsletters.

Advertising, supplied by Google, is what pays for the hosting. It has no access to your documents, so your files stay yours whatever else is on the page.

What is not here, and why

Some features people expect from a PDF website cannot be offered without sending your document to someone else. Rather than weaken the promise, we leave them out:

Converting a web page to PDF from its address
A server would have to fetch the page for you, which means sending the address, and anything behind it, to someone else. Instead: Open the page and use your browser's own Print to PDF, then use the tools here.
Sending a document to someone else to sign
It needs accounts, email, and somewhere to keep the document while it waits for the other person. Instead: Sign it yourself in a PDF reader on your own device.
Sending a scan from your phone to your computer
The two devices can only meet through something in the middle, and your scan would pass through it. Instead: Scan on the device where you want the file.
Opening files from a cloud drive
Every drive picker is another company's software, signed in to an account, running on the same page as your documents. Instead: Choose a file from your device or drop it on the page. Files synced from a drive already appear in your file picker.
Summarizing or translating a document
It would mean sending the words in your document to someone else, which is the one thing this site exists not to do. Instead: There is no private way to offer this here, so it is not offered.

Honest about limits

Every tool page lists what that tool does not do, in plain words, next to the tool itself. Very large documents depend on the memory your device has available, so a computer can handle more than an older phone. Where something does not work, the aim is to say so on the page rather than leave you to discover it.
