How to extract pages from a PDF
Extracting pages creates a new PDF from part of an existing one: the signature page of a contract, a single chart from a report, the few pages a reader actually needs. You can also reorder pages as you extract them. Your original document is left untouched, and nothing is uploaded, because the new file is made on your own device.
- Choose a PDF file, or drop a PDF anywhere on this page.
- Type the pages to keep, such as 1, 4-9. They are saved in the order you type them.
- Select Extract pages. The new document is checked, then saved to your device.
Why it is better on your device
- Private by design. Your files never leave your device. There is no copy on a server to be kept, leaked or deleted later.
- No waiting. Work starts the moment you choose a file, because there is nothing to upload or download first.
- Checked before you get it. The new document is opened again. It must hold exactly the pages you asked for, in the order you asked for them. If the check does not pass, nothing is offered and your original stays exactly as it was.
- Free, with no account. No sign-up, no watermark added to your work, and it keeps working offline after your first visit.
Good to know
- Bookmarks and form fields are not carried into the new document.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
How do I extract pages from a PDF?
Choose your PDF, type the pages you want, such as 1, 4-9, and select Extract pages. Those pages are saved as a new PDF and your original file is not changed.
Can I change the page order while extracting?
Yes. Pages are saved in the order you type them, so typing 9, 1 puts page 9 first.
What is the difference between extracting and removing pages?
Extracting keeps only the pages you list. Removing deletes the pages you list and keeps the rest. Use whichever is quicker to type.
Is my document uploaded?
No. The new PDF is created on your device, inside your browser, and nothing is sent anywhere.
